Atrída por un estilo de vida bohemio, me mudé a París en 1981 y después a Londres… fue todo un viaje.
The very beginning on Internet in Italy and us, the pioniers!
In 1999, a mailing list created by Elena Antognazza — M-List — brought together the small number of Italians who, at that time, had a deep interest in understanding and developing online communication for informational, educational, and commercial purposes.
There was everything to invent and transform, in terms of “what we can do with the Internet in Italy.”
That same year, I created my first website, which I mainly used to publish articles — even though blogs did not yet exist — about everything I was studying and exploring within that community.
I also attended major events such as SMAU in Milan, where the first in-person meetings among participants of Elena Antognazza’s mailing list finally took place.
Through these experiences, I consolidated collaborations — especially in dissemination and training — with major pioneers of online marketing who already enjoyed international recognition, such as Giancarlo Livraghi, advertising professional and author for Il Sole 24 Ore of some of the most authoritative essays on corporate communication — and beyond — as well as on the Internet itself.
And of course, I must also mention Roberto Venturini, with whom I shared high-value training activities and worked together for companies based in Lombardy.
I also trained through paid, specialized courses — at the time, those were the only options available — on topics such as Security, Payment Methods, and Hosting.
Understanding the technical side meant knowing which resources were available in order to develop real communication and training strategies.
With the connections of that era, video courses were obviously a pipe dream.
However, it was possible to envision the future by studying online the experiences of countries that already had more powerful connections and a wide range of case studies.
I realized that the key to growth was knowledge, and from the very beginning I dedicated myself to dissemination, deepening these topics within the aforementioned and highly valuable online community, M-List.
El libro y el sitio web llamaron la atención de las primeras universidades y escuelas de negocios que empezaban a impartir cursos de Internet para emprendedores. Así comencé mi etapa como docente y diseñadora de cursos.

I was a pionieer on distance learning projects. In 2000, I participated in the first major distance learning project in Italy, in Naples (Sviluppo Italia).
I taught classes and also developed training plans with universities and training organizations for courses funded by European funds.

From 2015 to 2018, while living in Tenerife, I developed a pre-installed WordPress hosting package for a local provider (Misterdomain.eu) —something they hadn’t yet offered, despite rising demand. And a project: Supporting WordPress Customers – What Sets a Provider Apart.
Project Objectives: This project was designed to tackle three key challenges: reducing our technical support workload, building stronger brand reputation through positive customer reviews, and attracting new WordPress users through dedicated services and social media engagement.
Strategic Approach: I started by diving into our client tickets to identify the most common pain points. Based on these insights, I developed and managed an integrated support strategy that included:
– A comprehensive blog packed with step-by-step tutorials
– A regular newsletter to keep clients informed and engaged
– A dedicated Facebook support group focused specifically on WordPress
Results and Impact: The strategy proved especially effective in empowering our WordPress clients to learn and solve the most common CMS issues independently. While the Facebook group was initially created for our clients, we opened it to the broader WordPress community, which helped attract users from other providers who appreciated the quality support we provided.
Key Metrics:
Clients served: approximately 10,000
Timeline: 6 months to achieve all target objectives
Outcomes: significant reduction in support tickets, increased customer satisfaction, and steady growth in our user base
Bottom Line: Within six months, we successfully hit all our targets. The approach demonstrated how proactive, community-driven support can transform customer service challenges into genuine opportunities for growth and client retention.
WordPress Tutoring
I mainly do my WordPress Tutoring work with Italian clients guiding them through modifying various design elements and content.
I’ve managed the provider’s community for 2 years, giving support to over 10.000 members. But for almost a decade, I also ran my own WordPress community on Facebook, growing it to over 2,500 members. It helped establish me as both a Community Manager and a WordPress expert.
As I’ve been involved in many new projects, on may 2025 I left the Facebook group due to lack of time. But I’m still on it (WordPress): my last WordCamp was in Granada – October 2024.

Websites design
As my focus is on strategic content development and design solutions, I’m frequently brought in as a consultant and additional WordPress specialist, typically working behind the scenes to help colleagues and agencies deliver better results for their client’s websites.
*Due to confidentiality agreements, I’m unable to showcase these collaborative projects in my public portfolio.
