About Me

Welcome 🙂 Here is Alessandra Rossi, digital nomad. I’m a specialist in online communication, marketing, and WordPress content design.
Me at Benalmadena (Malaga) 2019
I have a long and diverse professional background that began at a very young age in my native Tuscany – Italy, as a jazz singer and guitarist. Drawn to a bohemian lifestyle, I moved to Paris in 1981, then to London… it was quite a journey.
After 12 years as a musician and in events organization, I ventured into programming in 1992, discovered the Internet in 1995, and since then, I have never stopped exploring new technologies for communication.
The beginning on Internet:

In 2001 I published an essay on Internet for small businesses (Pub: Hops Libri, Milano) and created an HTML website for free self-training in online marketing.
It was the first in Italy: percheinternet.it (now only available on archive.org).

The book and website brought me to the attention of the first universities and management schools that were starting their initial Internet courses for entrepreneurs at that time. Thar’s how I started teaching and projecting courses.
Thank you for your interest in my skills and experiences. Don’t forget to check out the Reviews, to get most valuable informations!

    Marketing and Communication

From the beginning of my digital career, I’ve been fascinated by how communication evolves—from forums and blogs to today’s social media.

I’ve kept pace with rapid changes in online marketing by studying user behavior, experimenting with tools for content creation and analytics, and staying updated on SEO trends (even if I’m not a full-time SEO specialist).
As a freelancer, I’ve helped position a wide range of products and services.

    Premium food and wine

Between 2005 and 2012, I worked on both online and offline campaigns promoting high-quality Italian food and wine, participating in events and trade fairs in Italy, France, and Switzerland. During that period, I was a very active member, in a specialized popular network in Italy: Vinix. comHere my contributions.

    Customer Support for Hosting
    (Sp. WordPress users)

From 2015 to 2018, while living in Tenerife, I developed a pre-installed WordPress hosting package for a local provider (Misterdomain.eu) —something they hadn’t yet offered, despite rising demand. And a project: Supporting WordPress Customers – What Sets a Provider Apart.

Project Objectives: This project was designed to tackle three key challenges: reducing our technical support workload, building stronger brand reputation through positive customer reviews, and attracting new WordPress users through dedicated services and social media engagement.

Strategic Approach: I started by diving into our client tickets to identify the most common pain points. Based on these insights, I developed and managed an integrated support strategy that included:

    – A comprehensive blog packed with step-by-step tutorials
    – A regular newsletter to keep clients informed and engaged
    – A dedicated Facebook support group focused specifically on WordPress

Results and Impact: The strategy proved especially effective in empowering our WordPress clients to learn and solve the most common CMS issues independently. While the Facebook group was initially created for our clients, we opened it to the broader WordPress community, which helped attract users from other providers who appreciated the quality support we provided.

    Key Metrics:
    Clients served: approximately 10,000
Timeline: 6 months to achieve all target objectives
Outcomes: significant reduction in support tickets, increased customer satisfaction, and steady growth in our user base

Bottom Line: Within six months, we successfully hit all our targets. The approach demonstrated how proactive, community-driven support can transform customer service challenges into genuine opportunities for growth and client retention.
